My clients are a leading provider of full facility maintenance services, responsible for maintaining Auckland's public facilities such as parks, sports fields, community buildings, cemeteries and the airport.
A rare and exciting opportunity to join this great organisation and lead the team at Waikumete cemetery has arisen. This varied role will include being on the tools and using equipment such as ride on mowers alongside managing and developing your team. You will also supervise contractors and carry out service delivery reviews.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar environment with a strong practical knowledge of health & safety and a passion for delivering excellence.
Requirements:
. Previous background in gardening or horticulture
. Strong experience in grounds maintenance specifically grass and turf
. Experience in supervising a team and building a high-performance culture
. Knowledge of engaging and working with contractors
In addition to the above:
. You will be physically fit
. Have a full driving licence and be able to drive manual
. Possess excellent communication skills and strong cultural sensitivity
. You will be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
. Have a clear criminal history
. You will have the legal right to work in New Zealand
