Our client is the southern hemisphere's only indoor real-snow destination, offering a unique snow sports experience 365 days of the year! Located only 20 minutes north of Auckland, it services the Auckland and Northland region conveniently.
Having experienced one of their busiest winter periods on record, they are looking for a new Duty Manager to join the team.
This Duty Manager assists the General Manager in leading the day to day operations. This role is responsible for guest experience and shift co-ordination. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable training and coaching staff on an ad-hoc basis as development opportunities are identified. As part of this role, maintaining excellent customer service and customer experience will be the forefront of your purpose.
This is a close-knit team who share a passion for bringing an outdoor experience indoors. The ideal person will be a people person, with an eye for detail and a drive for success. This role is co-ordinated on a rostered basis including in evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Be actively involved in service delivery and facility operation.
Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service
Oversee all cashiering functions whilst on shift
As part of our Management team, you will work closely with our General Manager, Guest Services Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Director to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe facility at all times, demonstrating consistently high standards.
Onsite First Aider, attending accidents and incidents as required. Accurately documenting all first aider calls.
Maintain a full knowledge of all products and specials to ensure all guests receive accurate information.
Be instrumental in upholding expectations for performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 2 years' Supervisory/Management exp.
Strong leadership skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skillset
Excellent work ethic and a passion to go the extra mile
Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings on a rostered basis
Must be able to show initiative and be able to problem solve
Must be a confident decision maker and be able to foresee problems before these arise
Excellent English written & verbal communication skills
